It’s true friends, on Saturday I officially entered the terrible twos! I celebrated with a bowl of my favorite moist food and by immediately tearing apart my birthday present (a new scratching post – see photo evidence). It was a great day that also included lots of mommy cuddles and nap time – I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday!
So last week mom had a photo shoot (she picks out and styles the clothing for fashion shoots) and I helped her! Well, I sat on a stack of clothes and watched her organize things. But I don’t think she was too happy when she saw my new “resting spot” on top of the garment bags. But it just looked so comfy and I wanted to be involved! Everything was solved though by her locking away the clothes in another room and rewarding me with treats for all my hard work.
I’m trying a different point of view today…I’m going to look at everything from upside down! Getting a new perspective on life, ya know? For example, I never realized how interesting the ceiling could be! I found a bug up there, as well as spots of light that move across it as cars go by the window. I also find it quite comfortable and relaxing…in fact, maybe it’s time for a nap. This new perspective can be exhausting!
Hi furrriends! Sorry I was MIA for a bit, I went on vacation and forgot to let everyone know I was taking a little blog break over the long weekend. But have no fear, I’m back!
Mom and dad went to a wedding in the Florida Keys, so I got to go stay with grandma and grandpa in the East Bay (I have two sets of grandparents, and probably the easiest way to differentiate them is by locale: Wine Country and East Bay). Their golden retriever Mandy and I have become pals, so I was excited to see her. And they have lots of great baskets and chairs to nap in. Sometimes I take a little time to warm up to people, but by the end of my vacation I was following grandma around everywhere and bumping noses with Mandy every morning to say hi. I’m going to miss them, but am excited to see mom and dad! Grandma was nice enough to take these pictures of me on vacation so I could share them with you!
Yesterday one of mom and dad’s friends from Florida stopped by to visit and meet the dapper gent himself, Tux (that’s me!). He has always been a big fan of the blog and was excited to meet me, so I tried to be on my best behavior and kept the biting to a minimum. I tend to be squirmy when new people pick me up and hold me, but Craig was very nice and we posed for a couple of pics together. At first we were both a little wary, but you can see how I warmed up at the end for a little nose bump kiss. I hope he comes back to visit, he was very nice!
So when we saw Grumpy Cat on the cover of Lucky magazine on Wednesday, Tux immediately asked why he wasn’t on the cover too. So we decided to try it out for him and see how it looked. What do you think, could Tux be a cover model? He certainly thinks so 😉 Happy holiday weekend everyone!
Another weekend at grandma and grandpa’s house! This time mom and dad were there too and I had so much fun watching birds out the window and running up and down the stairs. Here are a few of my favorite moments from the trip:
I was just laying in my bed sleeping and minding my own business on Sunday when mom creeps up with her camera and starts taking pictures of my toes. What a weirdo! She explained that they were positioned nicely to show off my toe beans and toe fuzz, but seriously, can’t a guy get a little privacy around here?
But I guess while we’re on the subject of my feet, did you notice my one little black toe bean? Mom especially loves that one and says it makes me a unique little kitty. I can never really see it that well but I’ll take her word for it.
