I love a good cat shirt, and this one grabbed my attention for its cool color combo and low price (only $15!). The breezy crepe fabric makes it easy to wear right now while it’s warm outside, and also dresses it up a bit (not your basic cotton top). There’s even a little chest pocket that would be perfect for storing extra kitty treats.
Throw pillows are a fun and inexpensive way too to infuse personality into your home – and if it’s “crazy cat lady” personality, all the better. We love cat pillows here at Tux the Dapper Gent (as seen here and here), but this one in particular reminded us of Tux. Just the other day we captured an adorable pic of him peeping around the corner of a chair (see below) – doesn’t he look like the pillow cat, peeping around the side of the fabric? We also like that the graphic on this pillow continues around the back as well so you don’t have an incomplete kitty. You could even put two together like shown above to form a whole cat, or keep lining them all up to form a continuous line of cats!
Playing fetch isn’t just for the dogs! In fact, I know quite a few cats that list it as one of their favorite playtime activities (myself included). My item of choice to fetch is hairbands, but when mom and dad suspected me of eating one I’m only allowed to play with them while well supervised.
However, when mom was online shopping at one of her favorite stores she spotted a pack of hairbands (on sale for only $1) that seemed more cat friendly. They are bright and colorful (much easier for me to see against our hardwood floors unlike her brown hairbands) and springy – so fun to chase around! Do you have any recommendations for great cat toys to play fetch with? Or just to chase around?
H&M has been consistently carrying cat items lately which overjoys me to no end. And since there is one 4 blocks from my apartment, I’m there quite often, scoping out the new merch. So far, one of my favorite purchases has been this adorably fierce cat tank. I’m obsessed with the fact that it’s not the typical “cute” cat item – this feline has attitude. And it’s proven to be very versatile – so far I’ve paired it with this jersey blazer for a more pulled together rocker vibe (throw on some chunky chain necklaces and lots of rings), and also this slouchy grey cardigan for a casual weekend look. And for only $12, who can beat the price?
*Note: For dog-lovers and Chihuahua owners, there’s also this version available.
So I have my own closet for my supplies/clothes/toys…well, I guess it’s more of a box, but whatever. It used to be this boring black crate, but then one day I was walking by looking for food and – OMG, it’s a fabric storage box covered in cats! And I know it’s mine, because hello, it’s covered in pictures of cats! None of them are quite as handsome as me, but there are some cute lady cats on it. Apparently mom saw it in one of her favorite stores (here) and just knew I had to have it. She’s pretty cool like that sometimes – when she’s not being totally embarrassing. You know how moms can be.
Cat lady says: Right now H&M has tons of cute home items emblazoned with cats in the kids section. It’s kind of insulting that it’s in the kids section (um, adults like cat stuff too), but at least they have cat stuff! This storage container is new and is totally cute for a girl cat. And there’s also this storage bag that could work well for your cat’s supplies. Or, you know, for your stuff too. Because who are we kidding, we really buy it for ourselves.
